Attractive Osram-brand luminaires for indoors and outdoors

Decorative LED luminaires with long lifespans from Ledvance: More than 50 new models for the outdoor sector – and round and square models with many additional functions for the indoor sector.

LED solutions are the next big thing, not only with lamps but also primarily with luminaires. Low energy consumption and resultingly lower CO2 emissions, a long rated service life and an attractive appearance now convince an increasing number of consumers. Following mainly functional models, in the coming lighting season Ledvance will be even more strongly focusing on the design sector with its Osram-brand luminaires in order to further stabilize this trend.

For the outdoor sector Ledvance is launching a new portfolio of decorative luminaires to the market. A total of more than 50 different models and variants in the Endura Style range will be available to the trade in the coming weeks. With their fundamentally linear design the members of this family have a particularly sophisticated look: For example the Endura Style Cylinder model made of rust-free steel or the Endura Style Lantern Bowl model reminiscent of black and white geometric figures. The Endura Style Lantern Solar model available from August will feature a solar module that charges the integrated battery in sunlight for up to one and a half hours. This luminaire can therefore be positioned almost anywhere, independent of power cables.

In addition to the wall mounting versions, appropriate bollard and path luminaires will also be available for many family members for freely positioning in open spaces. With Endura Style Lantern Bowl and other models for example, posts with heights of 50 or 90 centimeters are available, and for Endura Style Cylinder posts with 50 or 80 centimeters.

Rectangular so-called panel luminaires are currently highly popular for decorative and simultaneously practical indoor room applications - with Ledvance these bear the name of Osram Planon. The models look particularly good in workrooms, e.g. kitchens or home offices. The design of the pure LED luminaire evokes a fine picture frame and with a depth of just one centimeter is similarly flat. The Planon Plus range of models has been designed for installing outside of open-cell ceilings. A surface-mount frame is included in the scope of supply of the luminaires, allowing them to be mounted by one person in just a few minutes.

Planon entry models generate up to 1,400 or 3,400 lumens from 15 or 36 watts respectively, and optionally with a 3,000 or 4,000 Kelvin color temperature. With the top models, customers can dim via remote control and freely regulate the color temperature between warm white (2,700 Kelvin) and cool white (6,500 Kelvin).

Round indoor LED luminaires are coming to the market under the name of Osram Silara in a diversity of versions. The spectrum ranges from 700 lumens of luminous flux from 10 watts to 3,600 lumens from 38 watts, and with some models various settings can be controlled via the light switch. The Click-CCT function for example features variable color temperature: switching once generates warm white light (2,700 Kelvin), two quick clicks is for neutral white (4,600 Kelvin) and three clicks for cool white (6,000 Kelvin). With the Silara Sparkle model the Click-Dim function provides 100 percent light when switched once, quickly switching twice dims to 50 percent and a third time dims down to 10 percent.

As with Planon, the top model in the Silara range is dimmable via remote control with free regulation of color temperature from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin. Automatic switch-off programs and a night light function are also available with specific models.
