Every two years, Light + Building offers the world's biggest stage for the lighting indus-try to present new products from various fields to an interested expert audience. While it was introduced as the general lighting division of OSRAM at Light + Building 2016, in 2018 LEDVANCE not only presented itself as an independent enterprise but had already established itself as one of the largest European general lighting providers. Feedback on the company's presence at the 2018 trade fair was also extremely good. LEDVANCE has further built on this success and has actively promoted the transfor-mation from a classic lamp manufacturer to a full-range provider. Thus, in 2020, LEDVANCE is on the best way to becoming a comprehensive solutions provider for LED-based lighting systems and offers its customers everything from a single source.
Managing Director Europe West Dr. Oliver Vogler defines one special goal for LEDVANCE in 2020: "As a leading company for sustainable lighting solutions, it is our objective to increase productivity, health and well-being for everyone. Our BIOLUX Human Centric Lighting System encapsulates this in an intuitively simple, smart con-trol unit". Therefore, at the booth A10 in hall 2.0, everything will revolve around con-nected lighting and smart products that will be presented across the various applica-tions. "This year, the focus is primarily on application-specific product innovations that can be easily adapted to the respective customer requirements – be it that we custom-ise luminaires or ‘smartify’ them", Dr. Oliver Vogler explains the idea behind the LEDVANCE fair booth.
Versatile system solutions for professional lighting applications
At one of the largest booths at the fair, LEDVANCE will present lighting solutions for different lighting requirements and offer its visitors a complete user experience for the various application areas. In the open space office, the interplay of different lumi-naires will be demonstrated, taking into account a wide range of requirements and all relevant office standards – from standard open-plan offices to high-quality equipped offices. The new BIOLUX Human Centric Lighting System is used in the HCL workspace, allowing users to adjust the light to different working conditions. For industrial applications the expanded portfolio of the TruSys light band system for walls and ceil-ings will be presented especially in the production and warehouse area. In addition, special damp-proof and high-bay hall lights are also used here, such as the new HQI LED, which replace conventional HQI lamps. In the area of supermarket and fashion, shop lighting like the Tracklight Spots and the Downlights, among other things, ensure that certain products are presented in the right light. Beyond that, visitors will be shown a wide range of new products for car park and outdoor lighting in the parking, outdoor and hospitality showroom, including the new design of the HQL LED PRO, which is primarily used for street lighting. In the smart residential area, the focus is on the in-terplay of new smart lights in living spaces that can be easily and conveniently operated using voice control via common smart speakers.
LEDVANCE completes its extensive portfolio with a range of electronic components, including flexible LED light strips in three categories for different applications. These will be presented at the fair especially in the hospitality area. The portfolio also includes an extensive range of LED drivers, profiles for surface-mounting and installation, covers and other accessories. The perfectly matched system solutions for lighting professionals thus cover a wide range of requirements for professional lighting applications. This year, LEDVANCE has a wide range of system solutions to offer, especially for electricians and electrical planners.
LEDVANCE nominated for German Innovation Award 2020
The German Innovation Award honors products and solutions across all industries that differ primarily in their user-centric approach and added value compared to previous solutions. This year, LEDVANCE is nominated for the German Innovation Award 2020 in the B2B category “Lighting Solutions” for the LEDVANCE BIOLUX Human Centric Lighting System, which will be presented at Light + Building in the HCL workspace. The focus of the nomination is on the new, intelligent BIOLUX Control Unit, which allows users to adjust the light to different working conditions. The five modes RELAX, CREATE, NATURAL, FOCUS and BOOST can be finely graded and, if required, simulate, for example, the natural course of daylight for working on regular tasks (NATURAL), generate special light to improve concentration and performance (BOOST), promote creativity in brainstorming sessions (CREATE) or provide relaxing light during breaks (RELAX). The LEDVANCE BIOLUX Control Unit impresses with its simple and intuitive setup and operation.
The winners of the German Innovation Award 2020 will be announced on May 26 at an award ceremony in the Museum of Technology in Berlin.
