California Title 20 standards set minimum energy efficiency levels for a variety of products including lamps. LED lamps and retrofit kits are considered appliances in California and are regulated by the California Energy Commission Title 20 Appliance standards.
These standards cover certain lamp types including:
Lamps and retrofit kits that are outside the scope of the regulations (e.g. SYLVANIA Vintage LEDs with 2175K CCT, HIDr greater than 2600 lumens)
LED Tubes (TLEDs). All LEDVANCE TLEDs are available for sale in California.
This catalog lists only lamps that are covered by, and compliant with, Title 20 standards.
Residential indoor and outdoor lighting technologies are regulated by Title 24 California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standards. The standards apply to new construction and major renovation of residential, single-family buildings and multi-family buildings that are three stories or less, and residential spaces in non-residential buildings. Title 24 also includes requirements for high-efficacy light sources, commonly referred to as JA8 (Joint Appendix 8).
Note that both lamps and luminaires can be JA8 certified. LEDVANCE has several lamps and luminaires certified to JA8 and listed on the CEC certified database.
